| |
New Delhi - Nov.
28, 2006 – RRF announced today that its family of children
celebrated children’s day on November 14, 2006 with
festivities across all its projects. The slum dweller children
from the Raina Prayas project celebrated the day with a visit
to the children fantasy park Appu Ghar (Delhi’s answer
to Disney World) in Delhi, preceded by a day of arts, music
and dance competition amongst its children.
The versatility of the Raina Prayas children was in ample
abundance as they competed with each other in terms of poetry,
acting, dance, music, anchoring and painting. This was followed
the next day, by the children being taken to Appu Ghar for
a day of fun and frolic at the renowned games park. |

| RRF spokesperson Sanjay Supehia said,
“It is amazing to see these children grow in terms of
their confidence and knowledge, over the years. It is doubly
fulfilling when you see the smiles on the faces of these children
and remember that the same children some time back were either
loitering on the streets of Bawana or were being forced to work
to earn a living at a tender age.” RRF Spokesperson
Sanjay Supehia also issued an appeal to all its donors and
patrons to donate generously to the cause of these slum dweller’s
children. Donations can be made in two ways-
