ROBIN
RAINA FOUNDATION CHILDREN IN INDIA CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY
|
| |
| August 21, 2006:
On 15th August 2006, the slums of Bawana had a festive look
with children hoisting the national tri-color and performing
music and dance events on stage, as a part of Raina Prayas children’s
efforts to celebrate Independence Day. The celebrations at Raina
Prayas were a representative sample of the tradition, respect
and festivity with which the Robin Raina Foundation children
across all its projects in India celebrated Independence Day.
Since 2004, Robin Raina Foundation and Prayas, one of the
largest charities in India have partnered together to adopt
400 children belonging to slum areas, in Bawana district of
North West Delhi, through the RAINA-PRAYAS project.
