New Delhi – Jan. 17, 2006 – Robin Raina foundation announced today that its entire family of children celebrated Christmas and New Year Day with festivities across the country.
The mode of festivities was different across the various RRF projects, but one thing was common amongst all the RRF children across all the projects. Irrespective of sex, color or caste, all the children celebrated both Christmas and the advent of 2006 with hope for the future and smiles on their faces.
   
The Udaan family of girls celebrated Christmas with the RRF founder Robin Raina, who was visiting Mumbai to meet the kids and distributed Christmas gifts to each of them. All the kids celebrated the occasion with songs, games and dance performances. The Udaan kids also later attended a specially held premier of the Disney movie Chicken Little in Mumbai.
   
The Raina-Prayas family of slum dweller’s children celebrated Christmas and New Year with the RRF volunteers in Bawana. A mimicry artist brought in specially performed for the children and made all the children laugh for a few hours.
  
This was followed by a painting session by the children, games, skits, dances, prayers and the distribution of gifts to all the children. RRF volunteers gifted a car to the Raina Prayas project to help pick and drop the slum dwellers children to and from school.
 
The RRF family of blind children attended a dinner with the RRF volunteers in Delhi. The occasion was marked by poetry, mimicry and songs by the talented blind children who individually took time to speak to Robin over the phone and talk about their dreams for the year 2006.
 
RRF spokesperson also indicated that similar festivities were observed across all other RRF projects also.
